The Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center continues to conduct awareness-raising meetings with parents of children at preschool and general educational institutions.
Within this framework, from January to March 2026, specialists from the RPPC Department of Pedagogical-Psychological Support, Kristine Sahakyan, Lyudmila Gareginyan, and Eliza Keoshkaryan, conducted professional seminars aimed at developing parenting skills, strengthening parents’ abilities, and forming effective family-educational institution cooperation.
The seminars were held in 14 preschool and general educational institutions in Yerevan and Tavush, Shirak, Armavir, Kotayk and Gegharkunik Marzes, with the participation of about 400 parents.
The aim of the seminars was to raise parents’ awareness of children’s age and individual characteristics, the difficulties they face, and methods for overcoming them, to promote the use of positive parenting approaches, as well as to contribute to the formation of a favourable environment for children’s full development.
During the seminars, the specialists presented topics related to:
- ✦ the stages of child development;
- ✦ the effective communication skills;
- ✦ the positive methods of behaviour management;
- ✦ the importance of emotional support;
- ✦ the ways of strengthening cooperation between the educational institution and the family.
The participants of the seminars were provided with practical advice, examples of positive parenting, and suggestions aimed at applying more effective approaches in the child-rearing process and increasing parental responsibility.
The seminars were accompanied by active discussions and interactive exercises.
The meetings with parents are ongoing and aimed at increasing the effectiveness of education by enriching parents’ knowledge and promoting parent-school cooperation.
