Early detection and intervention of speech disorders greatly contribute to the comprehensive development of a child in the social, emotional, and cognitive fields, thereby preventing the occurrence of more serious disorders at school age. Based on this circumstance, the effective activities carried out by speech therapists are of great importance in preschool educational institutions.
Taking into account the above-mentioned fact and the need to establish a unified approach to the activities carried out by speech therapists in the field of preschool education, the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center (RPPC) has launched the training of speech therapists in preschool educational institutions.
The trainers are methodologist-trainers at RPPC Department of Training and Methodological Support Ofelya Grigoryan and Ruzanna Muradyan.
The aim of the Course is to improve the quality and effectiveness of speech therapy support services in preschool educational institutions by expanding the scope of speech therapists’ abilities and skills regarding the functions defined by their job responsibilities, the role of a speech therapist, positive parent-educator relationships, and constructive cooperation.
