On June 12, 2025, the Government of the Republic of Armenia adopted the Procedure for the voluntary certification of specialists and pedagogical workers providing pedagogical-psychological support, along with the provision of a bonus payment based on its results, according to which, it is planned to carry out certification for specialists providing psychological services in the 4th quarter of 2025, and for special educators in 2026.
Voluntary certification will contribute to increasing the attractiveness and professional development of specialists providing narrow professional support in the field of general education, giving them an opportunity to deliver high-quality professional services.
Specialists from preschool and general educational institutions, the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center (RPPC), Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers (TPPSCs), and organizations providing pedagogical-psychological support delegated by the State are eligible to participate in the certification.
As a result of the certification, the bonus will be provided according to the demonstrated performance, calculated in relation to the rate of workload:
- ✦ For a performance score of 90–100%: 138.300 AMD;
- ✦ For a performance score of 80–89%: 111.500 AMD;
- ✦ For a performance score of 70–79%: 80.600 AMD.
During the voluntary certification, based on the performance results of the specialist, the bonus is set for a period of five years. In the case of a change in workplace, the bonus payment is retained.
The certification will be conducted through electronic testing, and in cases where this is technically impossible, it will be administered in a paper-based format.
