Recently, the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center hosted Darija Udovicic and Nikolina Juric, representatives of the Perkins School for the Blind Organization, on a working visit.
In particular, the procedures for developing a guideline within the framework of the “Introduction of Special Pedagogical Services for Children with the Need of 3rd and 4th Degree Support in Schools” pilot program were clarified, as well as the issues related to the development of a new toolkit for assessing the special educational needs within the framework of the “Improving the Pedagogical-Psychological Support Service System for Children with SEN” program.
The participants of the meeting also touched upon the implementation of Webinars for TPPSC specialists, attaching importance to their effectiveness in terms of enhancing professional skills.
Ahead of the processes of reorganizing the Special School for Children with Visual Impairments into a Resource Room, the sequence and procedures to be implemented in this direction were discussed, and the structure of the Resource Room was clarified.
The process of assessing visual perception was also discussed, with the second phase of training in this area currently underway.
