Awareness-raising events in educational institutions within the framework of the “Development of the Education System through the Inclusion of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) in Education”
Within the framework of the “Development of the Education System through the Inclusion of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) in Education” program, implemented in cooperation with the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and UNICEF with the support of the Government of Japan, awareness-raising activities are underway in 8 preschool educational institutions included in the program.
The activities are organized by the trained psychologists from these institutions, who are guided by the annual MHPSS plans developed by the child protection teams of their institutions.
Those activities are aimed at raising the awareness of all stakeholders in the educational community, i.e., academic staff, parent community, students, as well as employees of community structures.
During the meetings, the following topics are presented:
- ✦ The Aim and the Main Principles of Implementing the MHPSS System;
- ✦ The Importance of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support;
- ✦ Practical Steps for Creating a Psychologically Safe and Supportive Environment in School and the Community.
These meetings contribute to strengthening a collaborative culture in educational institutions, planning joint actions aimed at the psychosocial well-being of children, and the sustainable implementation of the MHPSS system.
