On October 22, 2025, the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center held a regular working meeting with the mentors and observers of the “Ensuring the Development of Pedagogical Skills of Teachers and Teacher Assistants of Secondary Schools” program.
Welcoming the participants of the Meeting, RPPC Director Lilit Mnatsakanyan spoke about the processes implemented within the framework of the Program. She noted the need for actions aimed at strengthening the capacities of teachers in schools, emphasizing the formation of skills that will contribute to the creation of an inclusive environment. Reference was also made to the proper organization of training courses, with the active involvement and cooperation of teachers, and the development of effective lesson planning formats together with teachers to ensure the participation of all students in the lessons. The RPPC Director spoke about the importance of reasonable accommodations, the targeted use of resources provided by the accessibility component of the physical environment, and the need for proper consultations for teachers in this regard, the formation of effective mechanisms for providing support to the classroom process, the correct compilation of subject-specific IEPs, documentation of work, and training in connection with changes in the procedure for pedagogical-psychological support provided to children with special educational needs, emphasizing the school-TPPSC-mentor cooperation. In this context, Mrs. Mnatsakanyan emphasized the need for meetings with TPPSC specialists, implementation of training courses, as well as feedback and clarification of joint work with TPPSCs in order to ensure efficiency.
The mentors were introduced to the new publications of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center, with an emphasis on the importance of distributing workbooks in schools, as well as supporting teachers to promote their targeted use. The “Inclusive Education 3” Manual, developed and published within the framework of the Project, was also presented, the practical orientation, thematic diversity, and practical significance of which were highlighted. Suggestions regarding the topics of the next manual aimed at developing inclusive education skills were also considered.
Current work issues were discussed, and the schedule of upcoming training courses for mentors was clarified. The Meeting took place in a warm working atmosphere.
