Welcoming the participants of the Event, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan touched upon the conceptual issues that should stem from the best interests of the child, considering in that context the need to work with pedagogical and parental communities. Zh. Andreasyan emphasized the need to ensure an inclusive environment in educational institutions, highlighting the importance of addressing issues appropriately and formulating actions in a logical and coherent manner. The Minister also attached importance to continuous dialogue and interaction with stakeholders, as well as the collection of information through feedback, which is aimed at identifying current problems in the field of education and improving mechanisms for solving them. “Developed guidelines, manuals, and workbooks are precisely the tools that make everyday work more comprehensible, systematic, and, in terms of results, more predictable.”
ASPU Vice-Rector Naira Safaryan also delivered a welcome speech during the Event. She attached importance to the implementation of interconnected activities and cooperation with the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center.
RPPC Director Lilit Mnatsakanyan presented the manuals developed by RPPC to the participants of the Event, grouping them into three main subsections:
- ✦ workbooks and methodological guidelines;
- ✦ study guides;
- ✦ professional literature.
Mrs. Mnatsakanyan pointed out the significance of applying adapted and accessible educational materials, as well as providing teachers and psychologists with appropriate professional resources, in order to ensure a dignified, affordable, and accessible education for every child.
Afterwards, the authors presented the manuals, highlighting their structural and content-related features, which aim to contribute to the realization of educational opportunities for all children in the classroom and enhance the capabilities of the professional team.
Naira Avetisyan, Director of Yerevan Basic School № 24 Named After Suren Spandaryan, also shared her insights on the workbooks and professional literature, noting that adapted educational materials are extensively applied at the school and generate strong interest among students.
The Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center continues to create materials in line with the reforms being implemented in the field of general education.
We would like to note that the manuals have been officially approved for use as educational materials by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
