On December 11, 2025, at the initiative of Yerevan Basic School № 24 Named After Suren Spandaryan, a workshop entitled “TOGETHER, WE ARE THE SUN” was held, which was organized within the framework of the “Safe and Secure Educational Environment” theme.
Officials from the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, the Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Economy, the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center, and Yerevan Municipality, as well as leading specialists in the field of education, directors of Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers, preschool and general educational institutions, teachers, parents and students attended the Workshop.
Naira Avetisyan, Director of Yerevan Basic School № 24 Named After Suren Spandaryan, delivered a welcome speech. “Our vision of inclusive education goes beyond physical accessibility and includes assurance of psychological safety,” she emphasized, attaching importance to the creation of a world where every child, regardless of their special educational needs, feels valued and protected.
The speakers of the Workshop addressed the priorities of the field of education and the key issues requiring urgent solutions. Special attention was paid to the processes and successes that contribute to the effective inclusion of students.
The Workshop continued in the format of a panel discussion, featuring Head of the Department for General Education of the RA MoESCS Tamara Sargsyan, Director of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center Lilit Mnatsakanyan, Director of Yerevan Special Educational Complex for Children with Hearing Disorders Armine Babayan, Teacher at Yerevan Basic School № 24 Named After Suren Spandaryan Ariknak Ohanova, as well as representatives of the parent community Ani Grigoryan and Karine Marutyan. RPPC Director Lilit Mnatsakanyan elaborated on the activities implemented in 2025 to ensure inclusive education and a safe and secure educational environment in schools. Mrs. Mnatsakanyan attached importance to the content developed and published by the RPPC, particularly workbooks, teaching and methodological manuals and guidelines, and noted that they serve as valuable resources for teachers and students, also emphasizing that the electronic versions of all materials are available on the RPPC website.
The Workshop was accompanied by musical performances. It concluded with a beautiful performance of “Together, We Are The Sun” by the students of Yerevan Special Educational Complex for Children with Hearing Disorders, leaving a lasting emotional impression on the audience and conveying a strong sense of warmth and positivity.
