Within the framework of the “Development of the Education System through the Inclusion of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) in Education” Program, implemented with the support of the Government of Japan in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, UNICEF Armenia and the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center, activities continue in 8 general educational institutions. At this stage, activities are being implemented to enhance the psychosocial resilience of students, focusing on the development of social and emotional skills, stress regulation, relationship and communication skills, as well as self-determination.
During each meeting, specific exercises are conducted based on students’ age-related developmental standards, interests, individual characteristics, and needs. These exercises can be easily implemented by educators within the educational process, during extracurricular activities, or through co-teaching with a psychologist.
The meetings are conducted in a lively and positive atmosphere, contributing to the effective implementation of the process through interaction and joint efforts.
Supporting the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents in educational settings is essential, as it ensures their full and equitable participation in learning.
