Training courses aimed at raising awareness among the parent community members of general and preschool educational institutions continue.
In February-March 2025, training courses on “The Role and Importance of Parents in Special Pedagogical Activities” were conducted in Vanadzor № 31 kindergarten, Sisian № 2 Kindergarten, and Charentsavan № 8 “Hrashk” Kindergarten.
The trainer was Lyudmila Gareginyan, a special educator at RPPC Department of Pedagogical-Psychological Assistance. About 70 parents and representatives of the staff of preschool educational institutions participated in the training course.
The aim of the training course was to provide parents with professional support on issues like child development, their upbringing, learning, emotional growth, and overcoming difficulties.
During the training course, parents
- ✦ got acquainted with the main functions of a special educator, and the forms of cooperation between parents and special educators;
- ✦ received information about the format and effectiveness of providing group lessons;
- ✦ acquired skills to identify their children’s strengths and develop new abilities in accordance with their needs.
The meetings are ongoing and aimed at expanding parents’ knowledge in this direction and supporting children’s mental development.
