A three-day training course on “TECHNIQUES OF BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT FOR CHILDREN WITH SEVERE BEHAVIOURAL ISSUES” was held on November 28-30, 2025, which was aimed at covering the principles and techniques of working with children with behavioural issues.
The training was organized by the “Armenian Caritas” Benevolent Non-Governmental Organization within the framework of the “Promotion of Inclusive Equitable Quality Education for all in Armenia” project.
The Course was led by Giorgi Demetrashvili, a Psychologist and Behavioural Specialist invited from “Caritas Georgia”.
Specialists from the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and Shirak Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Center, special educators and behavioural specialists involved in various programs, as well as personal assistants of students trained within the framework of the “Promotion of Inclusive Equitable Quality Education for all in Armenia” project, actively participated in the Course.
The Training Course had an exclusively practical focus. The trainer presented to the participants the peculiarities of working with children with behavioural issues in crises, international approaches to this issue and practical methods that can also be localized in the Armenian educational system. The expert attached importance to the necessity of the specialists mastering crisis management skills, emphasizing the correct application of preventive techniques and methods in order to exclude possible manifestations of violence. Referring to the effectiveness of intervention by specialists, he also highlighted the safety factor in terms of a safe educational environment for all children.
The participants were introduced to new approaches to managing behavioural issues and acquired practical skills to solve them.
