The Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center continues to present the film series on “How to Enable Classroom Inclusion,” created in collaboration with the “Armenian Caritas” Benevolent Non-Governmental Organization. Our next story is about Mary.
Mary is nine years old and is studying in the 4th grade. She enjoys playing with dolls and drawing, but her classes and busy schedule leave her with no time for her favourite activities. Adults often fail to understand her interests. Mary has difficulties with concentration and learning. Her indifference to classes and to the educational process in general forced her teacher, Mr. Aram, to seek solutions to the situation. As a result of discussions with teachers and specialists from the pedagogical-psychological team, simplified programs for each subject, as well as adaptations and tools aimed at directing Mary’s interests towards her educational goals, were developed.
The changes had a positive impact on both her academic performance and her socialization: they helped reveal Mary’s hidden abilities and enabled her to become fully integrated into school life.
The film series, developed in collaboration with the RPPC and “Armenian Caritas” Benevolent Non-Governmental Organization, was created within the framework of the “My Right. Next Level. Inclusive Education in Armenia and Kosovo” project. The project is funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds from Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and Caritas Austria (Innsbruck).
You can watch the other videos of the film series on the RPPC website.
