March 27 is World Theatre Day
March 27 is World Theatre Day, which is celebrated under the theme “Theatre as a Means of Strengthening Peace and Mutual Understanding Between Peoples.”
Theatre is a unique international language that unites people regardless of borders and peculiarities. It is a living art form where the direct interaction between the actor and the audience is irreplaceable even in the digital age. It also plays an important role in the process of socialization, helping to understand the psychological mechanisms essential for human development.
Children’s and Youth Theatre also fits within this context and is guided by the slogan “Take Your Child to the Theatre or Bring the Theatre to Them,” which emphasizes that theatre is not only entertainment but also a powerful educational tool. It helps children understand their emotions, develop imagination, communication skills, self-expression, and self-confidence.
At the same time, theatre is an important inclusive platform, since it provides children with different abilities and characteristics the opportunity to engage in the creative process and feel equally valued. It is a unique environment where children can discover themselves, grow, and believe in their own potential.
The significance of this day is also uniquely perceived at the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center, where the “MIASIN” Children’s and Youth Theatre has been operating since 2022. Throughout its activity, it has contributed to the discovery of the creative potential of many children and youth, expanded their opportunities for inclusion in various environments, enabled their self-expression through art, and encouraged their active involvement in public life.
We congratulate the “MIASIN” Theatre Troupe on the occasion of World Theatre Day, wishing them a creative journey filled with new ideas, inspiration, and continued success.
