The repertoire of “MIASIN” Theatre Troupe of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center has been enriched with a new production. On October 3, 2026, as part of the VII “Side by Side” International Inclusive Music Art Festival, the troupe premiered “THE LITTLE PRINCE,” based on the eponymous work by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, at the “Black Box Stage” of Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theatre. The production was made possible with the support of the “AYO” platform of the Armenian Relief Fund (FAR).
The author of the production and stage adaptation is Marine Asatryan, Head of the Theatre Troupe.
The performance was built around the key themes of Saint-Exupéry’s renowned work: love, friendship, care, responsibility, human relationships, and the ability to perceive true values. This time, however, “THE LITTLE PRINCE” was presented through a fresh interpretation, inviting the audience on a mysterious and wondrous journey. Through the characters they portray, the actors reveal life’s most essential truths about love, care, responsibility, and the genuine understanding of others. By conveying their sincere emotions, experiences, and moods to the audience, they remind us once again that the most important things are often invisible to the eye and that we must learn to see them with the heart.
The willingness to collaborate and support one another, along with the efforts to uncover hidden potential and possibilities, particularly highlighted the inclusive nature of the performance. The actors succeeded not only in conveying the thematic message of the piece to the audience but also in demonstrating an ability to listen to, feel, to show empathy, and to create together.
“MIASIN” Theatre Troupe’s new performance is not merely a fresh stage interpretation of a well-known work, but also an opportunity to use art as a means of addressing inclusion, human relationships, and the importance of getting to know and accepting one another, as well as appreciating qualities in others that may not be apparent at first glance.
The audience also had the opportunity to view the handmade works created by members of the Theatre Troupe, which were exhibited in the hall.
The performance has now been launched; in the near future, the Troupe plans to tour schools across the Marzes of Armenia, aiming to retell the young audiences about the story of “The Little Prince” and convey its significant messages, which remain as relevant today as ever.
