A successful example of an alternative type of co-teaching

Voskehat Secondary School after Khrimyan Hayrik
Many Yezidi students attend this school. Most of them go to the mountains with their parents in the summer and come back in the middle of autumn. There are other reasons as well why children do not go to scholl, drop out of the program and stop learning.
Teacher’s assistant Alvina Asatryan and teacher Gayane Sahakyan started working in this way with clear planning and both of them noticed positive changes in a short time. They identified the children’s abilities and worked in a differentiated way, exploiting the child’s educational needs.
This was a really successful case both in terms of cooperation between the children and the teacher-teacher assistant.
