Discussion of the bill on additions and amendments to the RA “Law On Preschool Education”

Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly of the RA held a meeting to discuss the bill on additions and amendments to the RA “Law On Preschool Education” on April 25, 2023.

According to Deputy Minister of ESCS Araqsya Svajyan, these changes are necessary to have clear regulations in a number of directions.

The project aims to regulate the organization of preschool education, education of children with SEN, and other issues related to the provision of pedagogical and psychological support services as well.

So, the next changes related to preschool education envisage mandatory training of pedagogical workers of preschool educational establishments every five years, clarification of the right to manage the educational establishments and the term of management, licensing of development centers, as well as the extension of the licensing period until December 10, 2023, etc.

The legislative package received a positive conclusion.
