The August consultations were concluded in Yerevan ahead of the 2024-2025 academic year. Within the framework of these consultations, a meeting was held with the heads of educational establishments in Yerevan chaired by the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan.
Deputy Minister of MoESCS Araqsia Svajyan, representatives from the Department of General Education of the Municipality of Yerevan, representatives of the Republican Pedagogical – Psychological Center, NCEDI Foundation, NATIONAL CENTER OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES, etc were present at the meeting.
During the discussion, the organization of work with the new standard and the existing issues, the changes made in the legal acts regulating the field, the new system of teacher training courses, and other key points in the field of education were discussed.
The educational establishments’ results for the past academic year were also summarized. During the consultation, the processes implemented in the framework of the organization of total inclusive education were also highlighted.

The tasks to be done were summarized, and the existing and possible challenges, the mechanisms, and opportunities to face them, which are aimed at making education more efficient and quality, were also considered.
The Minister informed that the new school year will be held under the heading of the year of cultural education to promote children’s creativity and initiative. Referring to the new format of the August consultations, she noted that it is aimed at ensuring new educational content and an environment.
The participants made a tour of the educational expo, which was held for the first time this year, where the project works of students of primary and high schools in Yerevan were presented.
