Children’s academic, social, and economic achievements are greatly influenced by their mental health, ability to respond appropriately to crises and overcome challenges, as well as the level of preparedness for independent living and resilience.
Attaching importance to all this, the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center, in cooperation with UNESCO and UNICEF, implements the “Inclusion of Forcibly Displaced Children from Nagorno-Karabakh in the Educational Process by Increasing Their Psychosocial Resilience” project, one of the significant components of which is the implementation of targeted work with school-age children.
The 3rd stage of the program has been launched since September 2024. During this phase, about 600 trained teachers and psychologists from the general educational establishment are conducting activities in different classrooms, guided by the program developed by the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center within the framework of the same program.
The work carried out with students will ensure the development of important skills aimed at increasing their psychosocial resilience in the following areas:
- ✦ socio-emotional development;
- ✦ stress management;
- ✦ relationships and communication;
- ✦ self-determination;
- ✦ school as a socio-emotional environment.
