Training courses on the “Toolkit and Procedure for Assessment of Auditory Perception” topic continue at Yerevan Special Educational Complex for Children with Hearing Disorders. On October 23, 2024, the second stage of the courses was held, which was attended by specialists from the Assessment Department of the Educational Complex and the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center.
The training was conducted by PhD in Pedagogy Lusine Babayan.
The course was aimed at introducing the specialists to the toolkit of auditory perception, as well as the methods and features of its application.
The participants were introduced to the approaches and principles for more effective organization of the education of children with hearing impairments studying in comprehensive schools, the model and functions of a special school-resource center, as well as the mechanisms and specifics of professional support, organization, and implementation which will be provided by that model.
It should be noted that the training courses are being carried out within the framework of the “Strengthening the Educational System Through the Expansion of the Works of the Implementation of Psychological Support Services in Educational Institutions and the Reorganization of the Special School-Resource Center for Children with Hearing Impairments” program, implemented in cooperation with the RA Ministry of ESCS, UNICEF Swiss Natcom, UNICEF Armenia, and the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center.
