Within the framework of the “Social Protection, Inclusion and Empowerment” program, with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID Armenia) and in cooperation with the Armenian Office of the “Democracy International” organization, the presentation of the Armenian Text-to-speech application developed by the “Disability Rights Agenda” NGO took place on December 17, 2024.
The aim of the application is to ensure the accessibility of social services for persons with disabilities.
During the event, the authors presented the main functions of the application that converts Armenian text into spoken speech, emphasizing its features and advantages. The details of using the application were clarified through a question-and-answer session.
Afterward, a panel discussion was held, which was aimed at re-evaluating the role of technology in the social protection sector of Armenia and its targeted application.
The key topics of the discussions were:
- ✦ technological solutions in Armenia aimed at addressing accessibility challenges;
- ✦ public-private cooperation as a promotion of innovation in the context of accessibility;
- ✦ the future of accessibility and inclusion through advanced technology.
One of the speakers of the Panel Discussion was the Director of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center Lilit Mnatsakanyan. She touched upon the current processes of universal inclusion in the Republic of Armenia, and the activities implemented by RPPC in that context. Lilit Mnatsakanyan also spoke about the features of smart adaptations and the mechanisms, perspectives, and opportunities for guiding future processes of effectiveness, accessibility, and inclusion.

The introduction and application of high technology in the process of implementing inclusive education are among RPPC priorities.
