Games are a serious and important process for a child. They are also a factor with great developmental potential, and their correct and purposeful use by parents and specialists can contribute to the discovery of children’s various abilities and ensure positive progress for children with disabilities and/or special educational needs.
On March 28, 2025, an online course for parents on the “THE IMPORTANCE OF GAMES IN THE PROCESS OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT” topic. The Course was conducted by a Specialist at RPPC Content Development Department, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Emilya Tadevosyan. The Course was organized within the framework of the “Guarantees of a Child’s Effective Education and Social Inclusion” training courses implemented by the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center.
The aim of the Course was to contribute to the improvement of educational effectiveness and social inclusion of students with disabilities and/or special educational needs.
During the Course, Emilya Tadevosyan addressed the significance of games in the child’s development process and the importance of their positive impact. She presented the possibilities of overcoming children’s linguistic, sensory, and communication barriers through games. The Course also covered different types of games and their characteristics, in particular, those that promote tactile and sensory development, develop general mobility and fine motor skills, as well as enhance communication and socialization.
The activities that are implemented by the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and are aimed at cooperation with the parent community and raising their awareness continue.
