In cooperation with the Legal Education and Rehabilitation Programs’ Implementation Center of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, UNICEF, and the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center, a three-day training course was launched on September 1, 2025, for psychologists of the RPPC and Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers, aimed at developing the professional capabilities of psychologists.
The trainers of the courses are PhD in Law, Associate Professor David Tumasyan, Psychologist Anahit Khachatryan, and Psychiatrist Harutyun Simonyan.
Director of the Legal Education and Rehabilitation Programs’ Implementation Center Gevorg Simonyan, UNICEF Access to Justice Programme Officer Victoria Ohanyan, and RPPC Director Lilit Mnatsakanyan delivered welcome speeches. In their speeches, the speakers attached importance to a safe and protected educational environment free from violence and bullying. They also emphasized the need for effective mechanisms necessary for the realization of the rights of all children.
The main topics of the Courses are related to
- ✦ the concept, types and characteristics of violence against children;
- ✦ some criminally punishable manifestations of violence and bullying;
- ✦ misdemeanors and crimes committed by an official, and mechanisms for their separation;
- ✦ the rules for ensuring human rights and proper treatment of children when conducting a study;
- ✦ bullying, its types and identification, as well as its impact on mental health and child-centered approaches;
- ✦ the procedures and methodology for studying cases of bullying, analyzing the results, and drawing conclusions.
The Courses are accompanied by active discussions, allowing participants to receive answers to their questions of concern and interest in a calm and direct environment.
