On October 27, 2025, the Final Meeting of the series of training courses for RPPC specialists was held at the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center within the framework of the “Transforming the Lives of Children with Disabilities through AT and AAC” program, implemented in cooperation with “Consort Armenia” NGO and UNICEF.
The trainer was Camille Matta, Founder of Consort World. The training courses were aimed at discovering the possibilities of modern Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) technologies and Assistive Technology (AT), as well as their effective application in working with students with special educational needs.
The aim of the courses was to help specialists acquire new skills necessary to improve the quality of life of people with special needs by expanding their opportunities to express themselves, learn, and use their potential.
Specialists of “Consort Armenia” shared with our partners innovative approaches based on the latest technologies and international experience, with a focus on the following key points:
- ✦ how to identify the special educational needs of children, in particular the need to use assistive devices and technologies;
- ✦ how to choose the right means of support;
- ✦ what the role of assistive technologies is in promoting inclusive education.
The initiative was aimed at creating equal opportunities for children with different characteristics by identifying each student’s strengths and promoting the full realization of their potential.
During the Final Meeting, the implemented activities were summarized. The participants were awarded with certificates by “Consort Armenia.” Agreements were reached regarding further cooperation and the continuation of meetings.
