The Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center continues its activities aimed at cooperating with the parent community and raising awareness.
On November 27, 2025, an online course was held on the “RECOGNIZING AND EFFECTIVELY RESPONDING TO CHILDREN’S BEHAVIOURAL EXPRESSIONS” topic, which is being implemented within the framework of the “Guarantees of a Child’s Effective Education and Social Inclusion” topic.
The trainer of the Course was Syuzanna Petrosyan, a specialist at RPPC Department of Content Development.
The Course was aimed at developing the abilities of parents and specialists in order to recognize and effectively respond to the behavioural expressions and causes of children with autism and other developmental disabilities, and develop effective response mechanisms, providing a more conducive environment for reinforcing their positive behaviour, communication, and social skills.
The trainer thoroughly addressed the definition of behaviour, the importance of its study, as well as conducted a detailed presentation and analysis of behavioural patterns: motivations, behavioural expressions, and consequences, elaborating on the functions of behaviour and transferring relevant professional knowledge about the preferred actions in each of them.
Participants learned about behaviour, the importance of studying it, and the purpose of applied behaviour analysis.
Various behavioural expressions of children, mechanisms and techniques for encouraging positive behaviour, as well as preventing undesirable behaviour, and effective methods of self-control, which are aimed at developing children’s skills in behaving appropriately in the given situation were observed. Importance was attached to the organization of the environment as a key factor in the formation of positive behaviour.
The Course was accompanied by an active Q&A Session with the participants, analysis of the experience accumulated during professional activities, and discussions aimed at improving the child’s behavioural, emotional, and social inclusion processes.
