Within the framework of cooperation with the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and the “Perkins International” organization, a webinar on the “COOPERATION WITH THE FAMILY” topic was held on November 28, 2025.
The speaker of the webinar was the expert at the “Perkins International” organization, Mirjana Marojević.
The Webinar was aimed at providing information on different ways to form partnerships with families of people with disabilities.
The speaker attached importance to the collaboration with families as one of the key indicators of success and effective interaction in working with people with disabilities.
The participants learned about the forms of communication with families of people with disabilities, the specifics of working with them and building relationships, methods of ensuring their inclusion in working with the children, the mechanisms for forming joint responsibility between the specialist and the family and distributing that responsibility, and the factors ensuring their effectiveness.
The speaker shared the experience of the “Mali Dom” center in developing active cooperation with families, emphasizing the importance of encouraging families and ensuring their involvement in achieving success in working with people with disabilities. Reference was also made to models of access for people with disabilities to this process, as well as individual planning mechanisms for their future involvement in the community.
