By government decision, “Yerevan Special Educational Complex for Children with Hearing Disorders” SNCO was renamed to “YEREVAN SPECIAL SCHOOL-RESOURCE CENTER FOR CHILDREN WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENTS” SNCO.
Yerevan Special School-Resource Center for Children with Hearing Impairments will fully preserve the professional experience and potential accumulated within the educational complex, ensuring the effective implementation of support services provided to children with hearing impairments.
We would like to remind you that the subject of activities of Yerevan Special School-Resource Center for Children with Hearing Impairments includes the organization of education for students with special educational needs and who require the 3rd and 4th level support of pedagogical-psychological services. The Center also provides pedagogical-psychological support services to children with hearing impairments studying in other educational institutions, their parents, and teachers.
The change will ensure the effective use of state resources and the realization of children’s right to education through a new and more comprehensive approach.
In accordance with the new regulations provided for the organization of the educational process of children with special educational needs in the Law “On General Education”, the type of institution is defined as a special school-resource center, and by Order N 2346-A/2 of the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports dated December 12, 2024, the “Action Plan and Schedule for the Reorganization of Special General Educational Institutions of the Republic of Armenia – Special School-Resource Centers” were approved.
