Department of training and methodological support

The main functions of the Department of training and methodological support are:

  • Development of modules for current and planned trainings
  • Conduct trainings approved by the state program (including the current one) for specialists of Regional Pedagogical and Psychological Assistance Centers (hereinafter – RPPAC), preschools, and educational institutions.
  • Conducting training courses for parents and representatives of organizations which are interested in organizing the education of children with special educational needs (state-public structures, GNCO, NGOs, foundations, etc.).
  • Assessment of the need for a child’s special learning environment (hereinafter – Assessment)
  • Provision of methodological recommendations on modules developed for training courses or seminars by specialists of other departments of The Center.
  • Improvement of the organization of education for children with special educational needs and creation of textbooks, articles, books aimed to develop the potential of specialists.
  • Overview the content materials (textbooks, articles, books, etc.), created by the specialists of the ITC Providing an opinion.
  • Review and development of tools and forms used in the educational process of children with special educational needs (assessment tools, conclusion, IEP, monitoring, etc.).
  • Develop recommendations to improve the educational policy of children with special educational needs.
  • Discussion of issues and gaps in legal documents related to the process of organizing education for children with special educational needs.
  • Provide professional opinion on training courses planned or conducted by other organizations.
  • Organization of presentations and discussions.
  • Discussion of results related to evaluation of results, Individual Training Plan (IEP), including Individual Support Plan for Pedagogical and Psychological Assistance Services, and, if necessary, discussion of results.
  • Research, monitoring and analysis of the organization of education for children with special educational needs.
  • Carrying out information and analytical work to provide pedagogical and psychological assistance.
