UNICEF Representative in Armenia Ghassan Khalil recently paid a working visit to Gyumri.
As part of the visit, he visited Gyumri Basic School N 15 Named After Vahan Teryan, which is included in the “Resource Room” Pilot Project implemented by the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center.
During the meeting, the objectives of the “Resource Room” Project, the activities being implemented, and the opportunities created for children were presented. It was noted that the Project is implemented with the support of UNICEF and is aimed at providing more targeted and effective support for the educational, social, and developmental needs of students with special educational needs and 3rd and 4th level of pedagogical-psychological support.
Ghassan Khalil got acquainted with the activities being carried out within the framework of the Project, met the involved children, and interacted directly with them.
The UNICEF Representative expressed readiness to provide continued support for the implementation of such initiatives, emphasizing their role in realizing every child’s right to education.
