On September 29, 2026, a Conference entitled “10 Years of Systematic Work for Inclusive and Quality Education” was held in Goris to mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Goris Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Center (TPPSC).
The aim of the Conference was to review the ten years of activity of TPPSC, share experiences in overcoming challenges, present achievements, and outline future-oriented steps.
Officials from Goris Municipality, representatives of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center (RPPC), the Education Inspectorate of the Republic of Armenia, Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers, and other educational institutions and organizations, as well as school principals, teachers, and parents attended the Conference.
RPPC Deputy Director Haykuhi Adamyan congratulated Goris TPPSC on its tenth anniversary and highlighted the Center’s role in introducing and advancing inclusive education. H. Adamyan emphasized its importance in transforming public attitudes and fostering an inclusive culture.
Director of Goris TPPSC Hermine Shalunts welcomed the attendees and presented an overview of the Center’s ten-year journey, addressing the formation and professional development of its team, its achievements and successes, and its partnerships with educational institutions and various organizations. She particularly emphasized the contributions of the individuals and organizations whose daily dedication had supported the Center’s establishment and development, noting that cooperation and coordinated efforts had been fundamental to its achievements.
The conference continued with a panel discussion entitled “Current Challenges in Organizing Education in Educational Institutions in the Context of Inclusion,” during which the participants addressed a range of pressing issues related to the organization of inclusive education and discussed possible ways to overcome these challenges, along with effective strategies.
Leading professionals in the field then delivered reports, sharing their expertise, introducing contemporary approaches, and proposing effective practical solutions.
RPPC Deputy Director Haykuhi Adamyan delivered a report entitled “When an Accessible Environment Is Not Enough.” Addressing the importance of the factors required for the effective implementation of inclusive education, H. Adamyan emphasized that ensuring an accessible environment alone is insufficient to provide effective and functional support. She elaborated on the key components that determine the effectiveness of the support process, stressing the need for their coordinated and systematic implementation in fostering an inclusive culture.
Head of RPPC Department of Assessment Liana Margaryan presented a report entitled “10 Years Along a Child’s Journey: Towards a Child Who Reads and Acts Independently,” exploring the contemporary approaches and effective practical methods for developing children’s reading skills and fostering their independence.
The Conference concluded with the presentation ceremony of certificate and letter of appreciation , which also recognized the contributions of partner organizations and professionals to the establishment and development of Goris TPPSC. Letters of appreciation were presented to the RPPC Directorate, Heads of the Departments, and representatives in recognition of their professional support, dedication, cooperation, and consistent efforts, as well as their contributions to organizing the Conference.
