The consultation was conducted by the RA MoESCS deputy minister A. Svajyan. The head of NCEDI Foundation, representatives of the Republican Pedagogical–Psychological Center and National Center of Educational Technologies, Ararat mazr governer Sedrak Tevonyan, officials, directors, and deputy directors of schools took part as well.
So, the participants discussed the approaches and toolkit of the new educational system to be used from the 2023-2024 school year, particularly the training courses for teachers and the creation of new workbooks, mandatory and voluntary certification, the introduction of a new funding model, and the organization of total inclusive education.
A. Svajyan spoke about total inclusion in schools and the importance of work in that direction, adding that with the new funding model introduced this September. She emphasized, that the position of a psychologist will be mandatory in all schools, as well as targeted funding for general educational establishments for physical environment adaptations, technical solutions, and reasonable adaptations for security purposes.
