August consultations started on August 21, 2023 from Aragatsotn region and will end on August 29 in Yerevan. Consultations are aimed at discussing the issues of the education sector with the directors of the educational establishments and the regional officials of general education and clarifying the next steps before the new academic year.
The consultation was conducted by the RA MoESCS deputy minister A. Svajyan. The head of NCEDI Foundation, representatives of the Republican Pedagogical–Psychological Center and National Center of Educational Technologies, officials, directors, and deputy directors of schools took part as well.
During the consultations, a number of issues regarding the implementation of the new standard of general education, the creation of new workbooks, the use of educational materials, changes in legal acts regulating the field of general education, and a new model of school financing and management were discussed as well.
RPPC director Lilit Mnatsakanyan presented the planned steps for the organization of total inclusive education in the context of the new model of school funding, in particular, targeted funding for adaptations of the physical environment of general educational establishments, provision of schools with technological solutions and reasonable adaptations, introduction of teacher’s assistant and psychologist vacancies.
