Within the framework of cooperation between the UNICEF Armenia and the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center, several programs have been implemented, including “Providing pedagogical – psychological support during the pandemic Covid-19” annual program. The program aimed to develop the professional skills of RPPC specialists and provide assistance and rehabilitation after emergencies.
Specialists from all RPPSC in Armenia took part in training courses to provide better online pedagogical and psychological support services.
Two manuals have been developed with the support of the National Committee for UNICEF in Switzerland and Lichtenstein: “HOW TO ENABLE INCLUSION IN CONDITIONS OF DISTANCE EDUCATION” and “HOW TO ENABLE CHILD’S INCLUSION IN CONDITIONS OF DISTANCE EDUCATION”. The manuals included tips for teachers and tips for parents on how to safeguard and promote inclusion in distance learning.
Also, 15 new assessment toolkits were developed, which will allow to carry out an in-depth and accurate assessment of the needs of children with disabilities.
In the next five years, UNICEF has embarked on a new country program in Armenia. In the framework of the program, the work with RPPC will continue.
