Lilit Mnatsakanyan, Director of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center, participated in an online discussion on “SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION” topic, which was held on May 28-29, 2026, within the framework of the Third International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Role of Universities in the Development of Inclusive Culture in Society”, organised on the initiative of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and with the support of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.
The main objective of the Conference was to unite the capabilities of science, practice, and society to develop inclusive education, ensure the continuity of the inclusion processes in the field of education, as well as disseminate theoretical knowledge and experience in the field of inclusive higher education.
Representatives of state and non-governmental organizations from the CIS countries, experts in the field of education, representatives of UNESCO Chairs, postgraduate researchers and students participated in the Conference.
In her speech, RPPC Director referred to the implemented and ongoing measures toward inclusive education in Armenia, presented the successful experience of universal inclusive education, as well as the main functions and the role of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center in this process. Mrs. Mnatsakanyan attached importance to the close interagency cooperation among state institutions of the CIS countries in the establishment of universal inclusion.
Thematic workshops were held within the framework of the Conference, dedicated to the scientific and methodological organization of social inclusion processes in schools and higher education institutions, the pedagogical and psychological support for students, as well as the design of an inclusive educational environment for various target groups.
The Conference concluded with an emphasis on strengthening inter-university cooperation and identifying the current challenges in the development of inclusive education. Participants also clarified the strategic directions for future collaboration.
