Stage Curtains opened…
Marine was knitting. She was continuing to weave the unfinished fairy tale.
A regular, but not traditional meeting with the teachers of mainstream schools was organized in the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center. The participants came for the game exercise with different expectations – maybe they came for an academic lecture or just a discussion.
So, the participants made their way to the theater stage by stage. Returning to their childhood, they tried to understand and discover the child hidden in them through a stage play. Head of the MIASIN theater troupe, director, and drama therapist Marine Asatryan emphasized the importance of awakening one’s fairy tale in a child, talking to everyone in the language of his/her fairy tale, and not being afraid of making mistakes. There are no problems in the children’s world. Also, the stage helps to express oneself, to meet the “I”, the existence of which, perhaps, we don’t even know.” No matter how difficult it seems to appear in a new environment for the first time and to get into a character appropriate to the situation, they manage to cooperate and overcome the challenges together.
During the meeting, teachers improved their skills to help students overcome difficulties, get rid of complexes, and achieve success easily. They learn how to stage a small performance with children, where every detail and everyone’s participation is important.
