RA Deputy Ministers of MoESCS Artur Martirosyan, Zhanna Andreasyan, and Karen Trchunyan met the World Bank senior economist Renata Freitas Lemos and consultant Javier Botero on 13 October.
During the meeting, the Deputy Ministers of MoESCS presented the ongoing reforms in the field of education and referred to the programs implemented with the World Bank funding, including the implementation of the “EU for Innovation (EU4Innivation)” and “Education development” programs.
The World Bank representatives expressed their willingness to continue supporting education development programs, noting that the development of human capital is one of the WB’s priorities.
So, a number of issues related to the introduction of the new Standard of General Education, the renovation of schools, the creation of science and engineering laboratories, and the changes in the legislation in the field of education were also discussed. The World Bank representatives visited the Republican Pedagogical – Psychological Center as well, where a meeting was held with RPPC A. Svajyan. During the meeting, the reforms were carried out within the framework of inclusive education, and future plans were also discussed.
It should be noted that in 2021, the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center was also involved in the Pilot Project of the State Standard of General Education implemented within the framework of the “European Union for Innovation” partnership project of the World Bank and RA MoESCS.
