To provide appropriate pedagogical-psychological support to children forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and their families as quickly and efficiently as possible a number of steps have been taken and coordinated by the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center.
During these days, the RPPC cooperates with TPPSCs, school directors, and various partners providing pedagogical and psychological services in order to organize the work efficiently.
RPPC and Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers (TPPSCs) provided primary psychological support to around 374 forcibly displaced children and their families from Nagorno-Karabakh.
TPPSCs actively cooperate with schools, if necessary, carrying out an assessment of the need for special conditions of children’s education and provision of pedagogic-psychological support in schools and TPPSCs. So, to organize the continuity of education in Russian-language classrooms, the Regional Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers conduct an assessment of children and make a summary.
The Center has also created a program of complex events, which includes training courses for specialists and educators, professional consultations, and other processes aimed at organizing continuous support.
“Help the helpers” three-day trainer training course for the specialists of the TPPSCs in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross in Armenia. After the end of the course, the specialists of TPPSCs will carry out training courses for school teachers.
“Resilience Curriculum for children and teens” three-day training course for RPPC, TPPSCs and school psychologists, which is implemented in cooperation with the University of California, Los Angeles.
“Management of traumatic sensitive situations during the implementation of peace and community work” two-day training course for educators, which is implemented in cooperation with the NGO “Corridors – dialogue through cooperation”.
