At the initiative of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center, “Mental Health and Psychosocial Support | MHPSS” workshop on June 21, 2024, which was attended by UNICEF Armenia representatives Alvard Poghosyan, Hasmik Arakelyan, Manuk Khachatryan, “Rights, services, participation: administrative coordinator Siranush Antonyan and expert Lilit Chobanyan, coordinator of the program “Promoting the comprehensive framework of mental health in Armenia”, Dianna Torosyan, coordinator of the program “Mental health and social-psychological support in Armenian schools” of Teach For Armenia organization Dianna Torosyan, Coordinator of Teach For Armenia “Mental Health and Social-Psychological Support in Armenian Schools” program, RPPC director Lilit Mnatsakanyan, RPPC deputy director Haykuhi Adamyan and psychologist Ani Khudoyan.
Mental Health and Psychosocial Support | MHPSS were discussed during the meeting, and current issues related to its implementation procedures and mechanisms.
L. Mnatsakanyan, as the director of the structure coordinating these processes, comprehensively presented the works carried out by the above-mentioned structures, and the topics of the training courses, the sample, and the indicators were also discussed.
During the discussions, all problematic issues were raised, and solutions were proposed to avoid repeated or conflicting topics. The parties reached common conclusions on all issues.
The sectoral guide “Mental Health and Psychosocial Support / MHPSS was also presented to collaborating parties which was developed as a result of the joint work of UNICEF-UNESCO-RPPC, which is an important basis in the context of this ongoing work.
