EVERY FLIGHT HAS ITS COLOR AND EVERY CHILD IS AN INTERESTING AND UNIQUE WORLD WITH ITS UNIQUE FLIGHT
The art project “Colors of Flight”, implemented within the framework of the program “Strengthening Women-Led Civil Society” in cooperation with the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and the “Inclusion Armenia” NGO on September 2, 2024, at the HENRIK MALYAN FILM ACTOR THEATRE, during which the RPPC “MIASIN” theater talked about the flight and the Georgia Symphony Orchestra “Open House” presented their performances for the Armenian audience.
The event was attended by the Executive Director of Yarrow Global Consulting Lila dos Santos Gomes, RPPC director Lilit Mnatsakanyan, and founder of the “Inclusion Armenia” NGO Suzanna Petrosyan.
So, Lila dos Santos Gomes touched upon the projects implemented in the direction of women’s empowerment, emphasizing that they are aimed not only and not so much at improving the skills of women/mothers, but at revealing their hidden potential and directing it correctly.
RPPC director L. Mnatsakanyan, welcoming the participants, emphasized the role of women’s initiatives in building an inclusive society. He spoke about the RPPC theater troupe “MIASIN”, which activities contribute to the disclosure of children’s potential, expanding their opportunities for inclusion in various environments, and realizing their abilities for self-expression through art. Having highly appreciated the partnership with German and Georgian companies, she hoped the cooperation would be ongoing.
Then, the orchestra Open House participants presented musical numbers using various instruments, during which they surprised and delighted the audience with their mastery of musical instruments, the ability to feel the music, and the ability to listen and cooperate. “MIASIN” theater presented the performance named “Colors of Flight”. This is a story about a dream, and the process of achieving it, which is based on the faith of the heroes, their will and determination, their determination not to give up, not to fall, and those who “give colors to the flight” and give wings to the dream … “. Dreaming of colorful worlds, the “Dreaming Caterpillar” in cocoon with the help of her friends can become an inhabitant of that world, to become a “flying flower” and make life even more diverse and beautiful with the flight of her butterfly. , the color of its flight. The audience was full of enthusiasm. The applause in the hall mixed with the “floating multi-colored butterflies” waved by the enthusiastic children. The project was a unique attempt to tell about the inclusive processes of Armenia and Georgia in the language of art, which was aimed at forming and establishing cooperation between children and parents, taking into account the peculiarities of both countries.
By the way, the project “Strengthening Women-Led Civil Society” is being implemented by “Inclusion Armenia” NGO and “Yarrow Global Consulting” (Germany), WFS (Germany), and “Open House” (Georgia) within the framework of cooperation of NGOs. The project is aimed to promote inclusive dialogue between structures working with women and children with disabilities and their families in the South Caucasus region. The goal of the consortium is to create a regional network between NGOs working with children with disabilities and their families, government agencies that promote cooperation and constructive communication, raising awareness of inclusive education among children with disabilities, their mothers, and families, as well as raising awareness of inclusive education.
