A training course on “Toolkit and procedure for assessment of auditory perception” was held at the special educational complex for children with hearing impairments in YEREVAN SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL COMPLEX FOR CHILDREN WITH HEARING DISORDERS on October 11, 2024, in which the specialists of the same complex participated.
So, the training course was carried out in cooperation with the RA Ministry of ESCS, UNICEF Swiss Natcom, UNICEF Armenia and the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center within the framework of the program “Strengthening the educational system through the expansion of the works of the implementation of psychological support services in educational establishments and the reorganization of the Special school-resource center for children with hearing impairments”.
Candidate of pedagogical sciences, lecturer/Chair of Special Pedagogy and Psychology Lusine Babayan was the speaker.
The training course aimed to acquaint the specialists with the toolkits of auditory perception and the features of its usage.
During the meeting, the specialists get acquainted with the model of the special school-resource center, its functions, the features of the professional support to be implemented within the framework of the latter, regarding the approaches, principles, and features of organizing the education for children with hearing impairments studying in mainstream schools as well as mentoring support.
