On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Center in Artik, a workshop entitled “Promoting Universal Inclusion in the Education System” was held on November 21, 2024, the aim of which was to discuss issues related to the principles of universal inclusion in the education system, as well as share best practices and methods with teachers, directors, and various specialists in the field of education.
The agenda topics of the Workshop were:
- ✦ Presentation of the principles of universal inclusion;
- ✦ Implementation of inclusive education in Artik, Ani, and Akhuryan regions;
- ✦ Analysis of successful programs and actions.
In particular, topics and methodologies aimed at creating a learning environment that supports the educational development of all students, regardless of their individual needs and characteristics, were discussed.
Specialists from the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center also presented reports at the Workshop.
In her report on “The Importance of Play Therapy in Preschool Age,” Psychologist Armine Avagyan touched upon the importance of games in the child’s mental, physical, emotional, and social development. She also emphasized how games contribute to the development of various skills and abilities, such as social cooperation, creative thinking, acquisition of new knowledge, etc., attaching importance to the active participation of specialists in this process and their expression of emotions.
In her report on “Group Classes as a Format of Providing Special Pedagogical Services,” Special Educator Lyudmila Gareginyan spoke about the positive impact of group classes on children with socialization difficulties, the principles, and features of organizing these classes, as well as the methods and ways to effectively involve children in them.
Social Educator Eliza Keoshkaryan touched upon the principles and mechanisms of the TPPSC-school-parent cooperation. She presented a report on the “Effective Cooperation” topic, in which she elaborated the content and organizational features of this cooperation.
The reports were accompanied by practical exercises with the active participation of the attendees of the Workshop.
