On October 22, 2024, the fourteenth webinar on “TRANSDISCIPLINARY APPROACH WHILE WORKING WITH CHILDREN WITH MULTIPLE DISABILITIES” was held within the framework of cooperation between the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and “Perkins International” Perkins School for the Blind organization.
The speaker of the Webinar was Jasminka Gagula, an expert from “Perkins International” organization.
During the Webinar, the main principles and strategies of a transdisciplinary approach to working with children with developmental difficulties were presented, and a detailed discussion was held on how to form a professional team to work with one child, collaborating with various experts.
The speaker addressed the forms of transdisciplinary approaches, their goals, advantages, and differences, the interdependence of the activities of experts working with children with developmental difficulties, and the need for mutual agreement while emphasizing the importance of considering multiple components of development in this approach.
The participants were introduced to the methods and approaches for exchanging information related to the children’s needs, as well as the means for exchanging knowledge and experience between various experts, thus trying to understand the children’s behavior in all components of development to organize the work with them as effectively as possible.
