Within the framework of cooperation with the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and the Perkins School for the Blind organization, a webinar on the “ADAPTED SPORT ACTIVITIES WHILE WORKING WITH STUDENTS WITH MULTIPLE DEVELOPMENTAL DIFFICULTIES” topic was held on January 21, 2025.
The speaker of the Webinar was Dražen Viljušić, an expert from the “Perkins International” organization.
The Webinar was about socializing, belonging to a group, developing shared goals, achieving joint accomplishments, sports, competitive enthusiasm, and organization of entertainment for children. The key theme of the webinar was the creation, development, organization, and implementation of special sports games designed for children with multiple and combined visual impairments.
Attaching importance to the impact of sports activities in working with children with multiple developmental problems, the speaker introduced what Maladomiad is, how and why it emerged, and what problems it aims to address. He touched upon the procedures for organizing Maladomiad, the importance of involving parents in Maladomiad in order to ensure its effectiveness, as well as the role it plays in the children’s involvement in community life.
Through the video, the participants had the opportunity to observe the process of the sports games, as well as the joy and achievements of the students.
