On March 22, 2025, the webinar on the “STRATEGIES FOR LEARNING SUPPORT IN CHILDREN WITH MULTIPLE DISABILITIES AND THE FRAMEWORK OF INTERVENTION” topic was held in cooperation with the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and the Perkins School for the Blind organization.
The speaker of the Webinar was Martina Celizić, an expert from the “Perkins International” organization.
During the Webinar, the participants got acquainted with the fundamental approaches and components that should be considered when creating educational programs for children with multiple disabilities.
Martina Celizić presented the steps for creating a general educational program, the specifics of developing individual educational plans and lessons, as well as organizing the educational environment. She spoke about learning based on natural actions in a natural environment, substantiating the importance of a child’s perception and performing certain actions, which will help them gain independence and involvement in real-life situations.
Martina Celizić also addressed the importance of group exercises, providing details on how the children contribute to cooperation, acquire communication skills, build relationships, and establish friendships.
