On July 22, 2025, at the initiative of the Association of Parents of Disabled Children, a meeting-discussion was held at the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center with the participation of members of the association and RPPC representatives.
The goal of the Meeting was to promote cooperation with the parents of children with disabilities and/or special educational needs. It aimed to identify students’ special educational needs in schools and enhance the efficiency of organizing and implementing the educational process.
Welcoming the participants of the Meeting, RPPC Director Lilit Mnatsakanyan touched upon the reforms in the field, emphasizing the ongoing legal and legislative amendments, the main goal of which is to ensure the realization of the child’s right to education. Mrs. Mnatsakanyan once again attached importance to RPPC open and cooperative activities, as well as presented the projects and programs implemented within the framework of the partnership.
During the Meeting, Marina Parazyan, Founding and Managing Director at the Source Foundation Supporting Children with Disabilities, extended her gratitude for the opportunity to hold the meeting and presented the questions of concern to parents, the answers to which were provided by the Heads of RPPC relevant departments.
The Meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding. The importance of cooperation between parents and specialists was emphasized, aimed at raising parents’ awareness of children’s rights and inclusive education, as well as identifying problems arising in the process of implementing education and finding ways to solve them through joint efforts.
