Starting from the 2023-2024 academic year, the new procedure for funding schools will be launched, which will include a number of systemic changes.
These changes refer to funding approaches for all children and are aimed at ensuring the accessibility of all schools, meeting the individual requirements of children with SEN, and the presence of special pedagogues in schools.
The new funding model envisages:
- ✦ Adaptations of physical environment in all schools. Also, during the next 3 years, state general educational establishments without physical environment adaptations will get targeted funding in the amount of 3.000.000 AMD.
- ✦ Technological solutions and smart adaptations to meet the individual educational needs of each child.
- ✦ Introduction of a mandatory post for psychologist and teacher’s assistant in all schools.
The Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center developed and published “ADAPTATIOND FOR THE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT” and “ASSISTANT TECHNOLOGIES USED IN THE PROCESS OF EDUCATION PROCESS”, which were provided to schools. Online manuals are available on RPPC website.
So, the “ADAPTATIOND FOR THE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT” manual is about the school’s physical infrastructure, property, furniture, equipment availability, and in general it will help you to find out how to start, implement and assess the process of school development towards inclusion. The book will help and contribute to the implementation of the inclusion index by adapting the physical environment of schools to the requirements of providing inclusive education.
The “ASSISTANT TECHNOLOGIES USED IN THE PROCESS OF EDUCATION PROCESS” manual presents assistive technologies that can play an important role in the learning process of children with SEN, enabling them to be more independent in the educational environment, gives them opportunities to participate in various processes and just live more independent.
