On February 15th, 2023 deaf-pedagogue of the Department of Training and Methodological Support of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center Sh. Dumikyan, conducted a training course on “Effectiveness of the use of sound rhythms aimed at the process of speech formation and correction of children with hearing impairments”.
Specialists from the Ijevan, Noyemberyan, Dilijan, and Berd branches of the “Bridge of Hope” NGO, which implements territorial pedagogical and psychological support services in Tavush region, participated in this training course.
The aim of the training course was to make the specialists aware of the sound rhythmic system, movements, ways of their application and working methods used in the education process of children with hearing impairments.
So, during the training course, specialists studied:
- ✦ Studied the effectiveness of sound rhythm during individual and group lessons
- ✦ the role of breathing exercises during the formation of speech breathing,
- ✦ the quality of sound and the methods of working on it,
- ✦ mastering of phonetic rhythmic movements by students during individual and group lessons,
- ✦ work on a syllable, word, or sentence based on the principles of sound rhythm.
Also, various practical works, exercises, and games were used during the training course.
