In April 2026, mentors of the “Ensuring the Development of Inclusive Teaching Skills of Teachers and Teacher Assistants of Secondary Schools” program of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center visited the Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers of the Republic of Armenia with the aim of strengthening cooperation and organizing joint activities.
During the meetings, a number of important issues were discussed, in particular:
- ✦ the process of forming student protection teams in schools and the possibilities of organizing joint training courses for school staff;
- ✦ the successes and challenges in involving students with special educational needs in the learning process as a result of the joint development of lesson plans by mentors;
- ✦ the individual achievements of each student with special educational needs. As a result of the meetings, the next steps were clarified, and the following recommendations and priorities were identified:

- ✦ Complementarity of Functions: ensure the harmony of the activities of mentors and TPPSC specialists, especially in the stages of completing and implementing the Individual Education Plan (IEP).
- ✦ Setting SMART Goals: strictly monitor that the goals defined in the IEPs are specific, measurable, and realistic.
- ✦ Parental Involvement: increase the participation of parents by making them full and informed members of the IEP development team.
- ✦ Practical Training: emphasize the transition from theoretical knowledge to teaching specific strategies and skills.
A training course on “Lesson Planning” was conducted for specialists at Goris Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Center, with the aim of effectively organizing the educational process and improving the quality of teaching.
Within the framework of the “Ensuring the Development of Inclusive Teaching Skills of Teachers and Teacher Assistants of Secondary Schools” program, meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation are held each semester and contribute to the improvement of the process of universal inclusion in marzes.
