Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is a type of pedagogical and logotherapeutic assistance aimed at expanding the communication capabilities of non-verbal or severely speech-impaired persons.
Nowadays, it is referred to by the abbreviation AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
It is known that in the absence of communication, the child has psychological problems, emotional and personal sphere, behavior disorders, secondary form – mental underdevelopment. So, AAC suggests to emphasize primarily on developing communication.
