Meetings of the fourth Pan-Armenian scientific and educational workshop EduArmenia2023 started at the Armenian State Pedagogical University on July 3rd, 2023.
The participants were welcomed by the RA MoESCS deputy minister Araqsia Svajyan – co-founder of the EduArmenia Pan-Armenian scientific and educational workshop, rector of ASPU Srbuhi Gevorgyan, Marina Galstyan, founder of Center for Educational Research and Consulting, Head of Education Inspectorate Vagharshak Matikyan, RPPC director Lilit Mnatsakanyan, executive director of Visual Armenia Foundation Hovhannes Ghazaryan.
Svajyan highlighted the initiative of EduArmenia2023 in consolidating and developing the Pan-Armenian pedagogical potential. She also emphasized the importance of every participant, interested group and circle, taking into account their influence at this stage of total, multi-layered changes in general education, referring the systemic changes in the field of general education as well.
The workshop started with plenary discussions. The speakers on topic: “Challenges of inclusive education, achievements and obstacles” were chief specialist of the general education department of the RA MoESCS Anahit Muradyan, RPPC director Lilit Mnatsakanyan, UNICEF Armenia’s Education Programs Coordinator Hasmik Arakelyan, head of the chair of Special Pedagogy and Psychology Tereza Azatyan and the president of the “Bridge of hope” NGO Susanna Tadevosyan.
The speakers referred to the active and multi-layered cooperation with RPPC, the importance of the perception of total inclusion, as well as the teacher-parent, teacher-teacher cooperation. They spoke about the need to provide an accessible educational environment for learning as a guarantee of realizing the right to education for each child.
“Inclusive Education” block of the EduArmenia2022 Pan-Armenian scientific and educational workshop is also organized in cooperation with the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and the Armenian State Pedagogical University.
About 30 speakers made a report face-to-face and online in the block of inclusive education on July 3 to 4. The speakers introduced various topics reffered to current issues and challenges, opportunities and perspectives of the organization and implementation of inclusive education, highlighting the modern approaches and steps to increase the efficiency of the process.
The atmosphere was amazing!
RPPC director L. Mnatsakanyan made a concluding speech, expressing her gratitude to the organizers of this workshop, all collaborating institutions, speakers and participants.
We are sure that the messages of the workshop and the consolidation of pedagogical potential will contribute to the formation of new cooperation platforms and increasing the efficiency of education organization.
