On October 30, 2020, the second phase of mentoring and training support provided by the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center in 52 schools within the framework of the “Ensuring the development of teaching skills of secondary school teachers and assistant teachers” program was completed. Within the framework of which constant development work is carried out for 1772 teachers.
40 schools in Yerevan participated in this phase of the program, as well as 4 schools in Aragatsotn and 8 in Shirak regions. Taking into account the transition to distance education in secondary schools, at this phase, the training mentors attached to the schools have also worked to develop the capacity of teachers to implement distance education.
On November 30, during the meeting of directors with RPPS director A. Svajyan, the results of the work done in the previous months, achievements, and problems were summarized in order to fix them at the later phases of the current project.
The program was launched during a meeting with the directors of the selected schools and with the departments of the Municipality of Yerevan and Aragatsotn and Shirak regions, which deal with education issues with the awareness of the purpose, schedule, and planned activities. By 2021 “Ensuring the development of teaching skills of secondary school teachers and assistant teachers” program is planned to be invested in Kotayk and Gegharkunik regions, in connection with the transition to universal inclusive education in these regions.
